Every four years, when the three major conferences EU PVSEC, IEEE PVSC and PVSEC come together on the occasion of the World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion, a special award is also given to an outstanding expert in the PV field. The WCPEC Award honours individuals that have promoted global cooperation across international communities and have made exemplary and recognised contributions to a specific area in PV.

The deadline for nomination is 15 April 2022.

As every year on the occasion of the EU PVSEC, at this year's WCPEC the prestigious Becquerel Prize will be awarded to an individual with outstanding scientific, technical or managerial merit in the development of photovoltaic solar energy.

The nomination process has not started yet, nevertheless one can already start thinking about which experts in the field of PV deserve such an award and should be nominated.

The Poster Awards are an important part of the conference, where all visual presentations are evaluated and judged based on structure, presentation and scientific contribution to select those that excel in their topics.

We would like to emphasise that the posters are an equally important part of the conference programme, and we are even more pleased to have the presentations in physical form again this year.

The best posters will be selected and acknowledged in the closing session of the conference.

The Student Awards are also a long-standing, integral part of the conference and are designed to encourage high-quality work among young researchers, on the occasion of the WCPEC-8, and to recognise the most remarkable and outstanding student research work in the field of PV.

This is one of the most important awards, because young researchers are the future of the energy transition and we want to give them due room and recognition.
