The WPCEC-8 is held in the halls of the MiCo Milano Convention Centre, the congress center in Milan. It is operational since 1994 and is and is home to the most important international association and corporate events that choose it for its features, organizational skills and the expertise, the cutting-edge technology, the variety and flexibility of the offer and the services.
The spaces covering an area of almost 80,000 square meters are designed for maximum flexibility and the most intuitive connection of the areas. The WCPEC will occupy a total of 6 auditoriums, a big exhibition hall with a separate industry stage, a designated space for the poster area and a large coffee area for networking. The original comet-shaped cover is now the hallmark of the MiCo Milano Convention Centre and a reference point for the city of Milan.
Mico Milano Convention centre is right in front of the “Portello” underground station of the purple line. Just a few steps from the Citylife district and Corso Sempione.

Milan is served by four underground lines which cross the city from one side to the other, with 87 km (54 miles) of track. Each is identified by a color: MM1 (red), MM2 (green), MM3 (yellow), MM5 (lilac) and MM4 (blue) is currently under construction.
The “Passante” rail link is one of Milan’s newest infrastructure developments. It is an underground rail link which crosses the city, joining the standard railway networks to the Metro.
ATM provides an integrated network of surface transport, based on around 120 lines including trams, trolley buses and buses.
Radio Bus is a local bus service that picks up and drop off passengers at the required bus stop in the neighborhood. It is available every night from 10pm to 2am.
Milano has 6,000 taxis, which are easily identified by their white colour.
